What can the look/theme/idea be for my shoot?

This can be absolutely anything! Typically every ‘look’ has a carefully planned cohesive makeup, hair, clothing styling, and set styling element that all come together to help tell your story in a timeless image.

Perhaps you want your mother or daughter to join in for a look during your session. Perhaps you envision a classic portrait in a gorgeous gown in our studio covered in your favorite flowers or butterflies… Or maybe you are envisioning a portrait outside at a dreamy location! 
During our consultation call we will go over ideas you have and suggestions I have and move forward with crafting together your dream shoot.

How many images will I see and choose from our shoot?

We take all the photos from the shoot and carefully review and 'cull' them down to about 100 of the best photos for your reveal and ordering session. Here we will find your favorites and choose which photos and products to order. There is no minimum order, and choose the products you want.

Will my photos be heavily edited?

This will be completely up to you! I offer complimentary professional retouching and processing on all images. During our planning I will show you examples of your options from light/natural retouching to full service magazine airbrushed final images.

 Either way we will work together to ensure you are happy with your final images!

Where will I be photographed?

Most photoshoots happen in my studio located in Brooklyn, NY. However if you prefer; I would also love to capture you at your dream location!*

*Photoshoots on location may incur additional travel fees

Can you travel?

I’d LOVE to photograph you at a dreamy location! Thinking about a gorgeous mountainside, woodsy forest, or anywhere with a beach? Let’s have a chat about what you are dreaming up, and I am certain we can create magic. *To book Brandi for travel anywhere outside the greater NYC area must include transportation and at least one nights hotel stay.

What is the consultation meeting?

This is the part where we probably become best friends! 
After you send over an inquiry from my contact page and book your session - I will be in touch about finding a good day/time to meet virtually or in person to meet you and hear all about your ideas.

We’ll go over every little question you have and start planning everything together right then!

Whether you already have an exact dream photoshoot already - or want to give myself full creative control to curate a photoshoot for you based on your tastes - or a mixture of both of these - I have confidence we are going to get some truly personal and breathtaking images.

How long is the consultation?

Typically 30 minutes - 1 hour

How long does a session take?

Every photoshoot is different; but hair and makeup application typically takes between 1.5-2 hours and typically the photoshoot portion is anywhere from 3-4hours hours depending on the looks!

Remember I am here for you!! I have been photographing for over 14 years now and I can tell you with confidence that between our beauty artist, our careful styling and planning, and my posing direction -- you are going to be absolutely stunning. Trust me here!

Will you help with wardrobe?

Absolutely! I have been styling photoshoots for as long as I can remember! I have some basics to get simple yet gorgeous photos, but I highly recommend renting, borrowing, or purchasing wardrobe that makes you feel confident and beautiful for your shoot. Between what you bring and what I have on hand I can help style which outfits and pieces that will photograph best. I am excited to offer an exclusive discount for my clients that want to treat themselves to a new dress New York Dress, and would love to join you for champagne, a fitting, and in person photoshoot consultation at thier beautiful Brooklyn warehouse.

Can more than one person be photographed at a time?

Absolutely! Let's plan a shoot with you and your best friend, or your sister, or your mother. I would love to capture motherhood with your newborn, or a multi-generation timeless family portrait, or even incorporating your four legged friends - whatever you envision I am here to help!

What happens at a viewing & ordering appointment?

This is secretly one of my favorite parts of the entire process! This is the finally moment where I show you the art we created together and you see just how gorgeous you are! You might see yourself in a whole new light and you might tear up.

I'll share with you selects from your photoshoot and then we will make a decision about which ones to print! Once we decide which images to print, we’ll go over if any additional retouching or processing notes, then I start production on your order and you will receive your images and products within 2-4 weeks. 



Do you offer digital files?

The digital file of any purchased prints and products comes complimentary to your framed art piece. I do not offer digital images only.

How long does it take to receive my prints?

All of my packages include final retouching by Brandi and archival printing, matting, and framing through our partner. These steps can be done as quickly as 1 week or up to 4-6 (especially if there is a holiday! - If your aim is to receive printed products before a holiday I recommend booking at least 6 weeks out to be sure!)

Why prints?

I am really glad you asked! 
I, like many, grew up learning photography in a darkroom. Although we are in a digital age, it is fact that images have lost their luster when only viewed on our small digital screens and with millisecond attention spans. Also with our ever-changing digital drives and platforms, storage filling, and the inevitable data corruption; it's important to remember that digital data isn’t as reliable as we all hope. Prints however, are f o r e v e r. These things will certainly outlive us. I urge you to remember, these photos are your legacy, and a unique statement of who you are in this moment. Trust me; there is NOTHING like seeing yourself, or a loved one in a photograph you absolutely and cherish. Having images you love framed and displayed on your wall will be a daily reminder of that magic and will just make you glow. 
 Because it is one of my biggest passions to spark this feeling in as many humans as possible, all of my packages include printed and framed photographs.
